SharePoint - How to change the server name

Well in my new job I'm getting to know Microsoft SharePoint Server. I'm doing some R&D on Microsoft Infopath and Microsoft Sharepoint. After a few hours reading information about the subject, I've decided to get my hands dirty and give both Infopath a Sharepoint a try.

I've started with a Sharepoint virtual server, and there i installed Infopath. Then on the process I've figured that i would need to change the virtual server name, witch I did. Today I've realized that by changing the server name the Sharepoint is working no more.
